Keybinds
Starbase's default control schema is listed below, in both an interactive form (which requires Javascript) and in a plain table form. Each of the inputs can be re-mapped to suit a user's needs by opening the controls tab in the settings menu. This menu can be accessed from both the title screen and while in-game, and are saved to a file on-disk which is located at:

Interactive keybinds
Close or unfocus a menu or chatbox.
Opens the feedback tool menu.
Hides UI elements like reticles and chat boxes.
Activate the testing mode.
Switch to the move tool.
Switch to the decal move tool.
Switch to the rotate tool.

Cursor mode enables a visible mouse cursor that allows you to click objects and use tools with greater precision.
Re-orients your Endoskeleton with the targeted surface.
Rotate your ship counter-clockwise.
Moves your Endoskeleton forward.
Move the camera forward.
Brings the nose of your ship down.
Pick up an item and hold it in front of your Endoskeleton.
Rotates your ship clockwise.
Create a new module containing the currently-selected objects.
Toggles special functions of backpacks.
Resets the orientation of an object while being carried.
While holding SHIFT: Press to detach selected objects from a module.
While holding CTRL: Press to detach selected objects from a module.
Toggles special functions of backpacks.
While holding CTRL: Press to replace the selected object with an objected selected in the asset browser.
While carrying an object, hold this button and move the mouse to rotate the object around the Y-axis.
While holding CTRL: Press to redo the previously-undone action.
Brings up the universal tool.
Open your Endoskeleton's inventory.
Open a menu that shows nearby players.
While holding CTRL: Opens the dialog menu to browse saved blueprints.
Pickup an item and add it to your Endoskeleton's inventory.
Toggles the world grid on and off. The world grid follows the cursor.
Moves your Endoskeleton to the left.
Move the camera to the left.
While holding CTRL: Press to select all objects in the scene.
Rolls your ship to the left.
Moves your Endoskeleton backward.
While holding CTRL: Press to save the opened blueprint.
Move the camera backward.
Brings the nose of your ship up.
Moves your Endoskeleton to the right.

Interact with devices such as buttons, levers, and doors.
Hide and show different types of blueprint holograms.
Select a module to create a module parent for all the new objects and modules placed into the scene from the asset browser.
Remove or pick up modules from a scene in easy build mode.
Toggles your Endoskeleton's magnetic boots.
While holding CTRL: Press to toggle through module visibility modes.
Switch to the decal tool.
Show the crafting menu.
Show the company management menu.
Shows your online status.

Makes your Endoskeleton gotta go fast.
As a pilot: Increase the throttle of your ship. As a gunner: Hold to decrease the sensitivity of turret controls.
Hold to raise the camera speed while using the W, A, S, and D controls.
Switch firemodes on an equipped weapon.
While carrying an object, hold this button and move the mouse to rotate the object around the Z-axis.
While holding CTRL: Press to undo the last action.
With mag-boots on: Moves your Endoskeleton into a prone position.
With mag-boots off: Hold this key and move the mouse to roll your Endoskeleton left and right.
While carrying an object, hold this button and move the mouse to rotate the object around the X-axis.
While holding CTRL: Press to cut the selected objects, copying them to the clipboard before deleting them.
Toggles the snap function while carrying an item.
While holding CTRL: Press to copy any selected objects.
While holding SHIFT: Press to toggle auto-snap. While NOT holding SHIFT: Hold to temporarily toggle auto-snap.
While in third person, swap which shoulder the camera will view over.
While holding CTRL: Press to paste any copied objects.
Raise or lower an equipped weapon.
Toggles the built-in headlamp on your Endoskeleton.
Displays your ship's blueprint so that it can be repaired with the Building tool.
Shows a list of auctions while at a station.
Toggles easy build mode while inside of an easy build area.
Lower your Endoskeleton into a crouched position.
Reduces your ship's throttle.
Only selected targets are transformed. Affects the move, rotate, and snap tools while this key is held.
Hold this key and use the scrollwheel to zoom in and out while in third person.
Hold to slow down the camera speed while using the W, A, S, and D controls.
Prevent the mouse wheel from moving objects and modules further or closer to the camera while placing them.
Hold to dock floating designer windows to each other, or to the side of the designer viewport.
All selected targets and descendants contained within them are transformed. Affects the move, rotate, and snap tools while this key is held.
With mag-boots on: Make your Endoskeleton jump.
With mag-boots off: Use your jetpack to hover upwards.
Hold the space bar and move the mouse to pan the camera.
Fire weapons on your ship.
Lower your Endoskeleton into a crouched position.
Reduces your ship's throttle.
Press to have your Endoskeleton run automatically.
Press to accelerate your ship in the forward direction.
Scroll the chat window up.
Remove the selected objects.
Press to decelerate your ship in the reverse direction.
Scroll the chat window down.
Press to raise your ship in space.
Press to move your ship to the left.
Press to lower your ship in space.
Press to move your ship to the right.
Any target that is a parent to the selected target will also be transformed. Affects move, rotate, and snap tools while this key is held.
Rotates the Endoskeleton to the direction they are facing, so that the top of the Endoskeleton's head will point to the direction of the camera.
Toggles the orientation of transform handles between local (object) and global (world) orientation.
Triggers the primary action of the currently equipped item.
Interact with buttons, doors, or other objects in the world. If a tool is equipped, you should use F to interact instead.
Click and hold both left and right mouse buttons to move forward.
Use the priamry action of the selected tool.
While holding SHIFT: Click the left mouse button to add an item to the selection group.
While holding CTRL: Click the left mouse button to remove an item from the selection group.
Grab or place modules in easy build mode.
Hold to pan the camera.
Scroll to zoom the camera.
While holding SHIFT: Scroll to cycle through the snap points of a currently selected object. The Snap Tool must be simultaneously selected.
Triggers the secondary action of the currently equipped item. For weapons, this is usuall an enhanced aim mode.
Click and hold both left and right mouse buttons to move forward.
Use the secondary action of the selected tool.
While in free cursor mode, rotate the camera by holding this button and moving the mouse.
Remove or pick up modules in easy build mode.
