The first celestial surface landed on by an Endoskeleton. An expedition organised by Hatman - member of the Collective, a faction within the Lodestar Alliance - succeeded in being the first to reach this moon. Elysium is sometimes abbreviated as Ely.
#REDIRECT Anchor (Moon)

A flat, gray moon dotted with many mountains.  It is believed to be the closest moon to the home station at about 20,000 km, and was the first to be explored. It's exact size and distance is unknown.

First explored during the Closed Alpha on the 20th of May, 2020, at around 10:45 Greenwich Mean Time, by Hatman of the Collective.  The voyage took 43 hours, and covered an estimated distance of 20,000 km.  Due to a bug where his Range finders were unable to detect the moon to automatically stop the ship, Hatman crashed. He survived and was able to repurpose his ship in order to plant a flag and explore Elysium.  This marked the first time an Endoskeleton reached any planetary surface, the first time a faction reached the moon, the first crash landing, and possibly the most famous bug report in the history of Starbase at the time.

Expedition
The moon had been an intended goal for many adventurous individuals. The Collective had been planning it secretly with Hatman as the lead, designing the Moonshot the first spacecraft specifically designed for an expedition to the moon. The operation was carried out in secret, with only news being officially broadcast when Hatman went live on twitch 9 hours after the start of his journey.  This was done to make sure he could not be pursued and/or attacked by other players.
