Summary

The tool list here will help you to make your mark on the universe with your endoskeleton!
Use it as a friendly refresher, or seek out what you might be missing!

Bolt Tool

Description:
Used to attach and detach bolts. May require attachment plate (for beams etc) when bolting.
With a bolt tool, it's possible to create makeshift constructs, or massive spaceships!

Functions

  • Left mouse button Place a bolt
  • Right mouse button: Remove a bolt

How to use:

  1. Place a bolt by pointing at a location. When the bolt indicator is a green circle, you can bolt by using M1
  2. Remove a bolt by pointing at a bolt, and pressing M2

Cable Tool

Description:
Used to place or remove electric cables.
Use electric cables to connect your devices together, and build your own systems!
Can also be used to easily remove (or sabotage) other cable networks.

Functions

  • Left mouse button: Place a cable point.
  • Right mouse button: Remove a cable connection.

How to use:

  • Placing cables:
  1. Aim and shoot at the spot you want the wire to start from with M1.
  2. Aim and shoot at the spot you want the wire to end with M1.
  • Removing cables:
  1. Aim and shoot at a cable with M2 to remove it.
  2. Aim and shoot at a cable point with M2 to remove that cable point, plus all cables leading out from that point.

Notes:

  • There's a maximum length of how long the wire can be per button press indicated by the line going red when out of range from the first point.
  • The wire can't be placed in the air, meaning that you must manually do the corners.

Pipe Tool

Description:
Used to place or remove propellant pipes.
Pipe networks for transporting propellant are essential, if you want your ships to fly!

  • Functions:
    • Left mouse button: Place a pipe point.
    • Right mouse button: Remove a pipe connection.

How to use:

  • Placing pipes:
  1. Aim and shoot at the spot you want the piping to start from with M1.
  2. Aim and shoot at the spot you want the piping to end with M1.
  • Removing pipes:
  1. Aim and shoot at a pipe with M2 to remove it.
  2. Aim and shoot at a pipe point with M2 to remove that pipe point, plus all pipes leading out from that point.

Notes:

  • The piping can't be placed in the air, meaning that you must manually do the corners.

Durability Tool

Description:
Used to see which pieces of the ship are not properly built to withstand space travel.
An improper durability on a ship is not only dangerous for you, but others as well.
Be sure to use durability tool often when building or modifying your space ship!

Functions

  • Left mouse button See the durability of the chosen structure. Green = durable, Red = not durable.
  • Right mouse button Connection mode for durability tool.

How to use:

  • Point the tool at a spaceship, and press either M1 or M2 to activate durability tool
  • To deactivate the tool, press the same mode again or switch tool

Note: Spaceship needs to have at least one thruster base with a thruster attached in order to be able to test the durability.

Pickaxe

Description:
The most basic, and often most reliable way to harvest minerals
Point at the object you want to smack, and select which end of the pick you are going to use!
Remember that harvesting other endoskeletons can be inconsiderate in most sectors.

Functions

  • Name: Pickaxe
  • Type: PickaxeToolComponent
  • Left mouse button Hit with sharp end -> slice / detach fracture(s)
  • Right mouse button Hit with blunt end -> destroy / detach fracture(s)
