This page lists all the various shops in the game and where you can find various items.

Summary
Shops are generally located within a "Marketplace" area/building. Big stations such as Origin have a Marketplace building.
Origin Marketplace
The Origin Marketplace is located towards the "left" side of the Origin station, and has signs saying "Stores open!". You can enter through multiple entrances but there is one main entrance facing the main Origin station.
Insurance Point
There is also an Insurance Point to the right of the main entrance (just outside the actual Marketplace).
Selling items
You can sell items right at the front hall of the Marketplace.

Q&A
Where can I buy a transponder?
Answer: As of June 2021, transponders are not available in shops, unfortunately. You can only get them through the Ship Designer/SSC for the time being.
