Mission statement

We are a neutral collective of players who aim to progressively develop an affluent militaristic, diplomatic and economic entity that is committed to influencing and regulating the course of Starbase's cumulative history. We want to make a lasting mark on the game's universe and direct its diplomatic and political landscape to take compelling courses

History and development

On the 9th of July 2019, the Symmachian Syndicate was founded by members of the current Ambition's Administration. After time, the Symmachian Syndicate split up into two factions in an effort to find a different approach to leadership: One faction that allows its members to focus on the Syndicate's original ideologies, which resulted in the creation of the Arbiters' Ambition, and the Symmachian Syndicates aspired playstyle, which ended up as the German-only faction Zer0³. After the split, months were spent developing a consistent, reliable internal structure that is catered specifically to the needs of the Ambition and provides an efficient organization that can last for years to come. Only after this structure was fully defined and internal infrastructure prepared, the faction went public and started recruitment efforts.

Our structure

There are a few distinct elements that allow the Ambition to work in an organized manner. They are the primary tools to structure the community based on each individual member’s preferences and enable the faction to operate decentralized.

The Administration

The leadership council where decisions are being made and strategies established, the Assembly creates the overarching goals for the entire faction and supervises it as a whole.

Sections

Where a business has departments, the closest thing the Ambition has to offer are Sections: The individual groups that every member belongs to, each specialized on their strengths, but independent in nature.

Units

To allow members to play in groups with their friends and concentrate on different tasks within their Sections, higher-ranking members take over management of a Unit along with the members of it. This provides the primary means to decentralize workloads for the faction.

Ranks

An efficient group needs to be efficiently managed. As a group with meritocratic values, we want to reward those players that put in the effort and give them the opportunity to move something within the faction by taking over an administrative role and grow their own Units and Sections.

Merit System

We highly value participation and dedication. As such, we want to incentivize and reward members for their efforts. The merit system is what allows this: The more you bring yourself in, the more we will give you the means to grow yourself and those working with you.
