types of races

  • Classic Lap Racing- A classic race where racers do laps around the field
  • Time Trial - When a racer starts, a timer is set to track how quickly they can race a lap. These are a more casual form of racing that can be done alone or against friends
  • Asteroid Racing- Players go around a beacon based track where the primary objective is to reach the finish line without crashing into the asteroids. Your ship better be tough, since its going to get hit a lot
  • Cosmic Chaos- Basically a demolition derby. Weapons free, whoever gets to the finish line wins. The winnings can be changed due to the fact that many players won't even make it to the end. There would have to be restrictions on how many guns players can have and armour plating rules for keeping the game fair. Very dangerous, players can and will lose ships so an entry fee might be a hard pass
  • Hunter- A hunter follows the racers, destroying as many as possible before the race ends. Both the winner of the race (if any) and the hunter are rewarded at the end. How much the hunter makes depends on how many contestants were eliminated
  • Twin Pilot Race- In this race every ship has two pilots. One pilot controls the direction of the ship, but can’t see. And the other pilot controls the throttle of the ship and must tell the other pilot where to go.
  • Junkyard Shipbuilding- Players are given pieces of scrapped ship, and have 30 mins to build their own ships and test them. The challenge comes when they have to race the junkships.
