History

Concordia was founded out of the need for a better, less controlling alliance. Concordia’s founding members: Nomads, Republic, and RMA, were all former Lodestar members. Having had witness the dangers of overly controlling alliances first-hand they decided to make an alliance that worked for everyone, not just an alliance that was a power-extension of another faction. An alliance where small factions were not overlooked, where each faction looked out for each other, and where you couldn’t be brought into a war that you didn’t want to be a part of.

Concordia Charter

The nations of Republic, Red Martian Alliance, and the Nomads passed the Concordia Charter on 5-12-2021.

It embodies a belief in decentralization of power, limits of authority, and the spirit of working together for the benefit of all involved.

Government structure

Concordia is a collection of fully sovereign nations in two tiers. Full Members get one representative senator to Concordia's Senate. Trade Associates get one Observer to the Senate.

Membership

There are currently 6 full members of Concordia, with 3 trade associates.

Process

A factions diplomat need only join the Concordia server, and discuss joining with one of the 6 senators. A vote is held and, if passed, the new member appoints either a senator or observer. Trade Associates get 1 Observer, while a Full Member is given 1 Senator.

Military

The Concordian military is the member factions individual navies working in concert.
