Racing is a community-driven sports in Starbase once the game features make it more viable.

- April 2021: Kingdom organized a Royal Race as part of their annual Kingsfest in April 2021
Racing event organization tips
Racing tips from the Kingdom event
- Have a practice lap!
- Transponders should be forced on all racers, it will help track the ships
- Have somebody or multiple people at the finish line keeping track of all the ships going through
- Have somebody focused ONLY on the final photo finish, and preferably record it (this person should be different from the others in case there is a photo finish and they need to figure out who won)
- Track should use a "natural" line, taking advantage of easy-to-recognize station parts

- The track could have markers or even ships from organizers with transponders on
