People to undergo CA testing are hand-picked. In other words, after you register your interest by completing the survey below you and must be chosen by FrozenByte. 
To get chosen:

===How many people start the closed alpha?===
105 people got their keys and now play the game.
===How often will players' amount increase?===
Lauri said: "we will give more invites next week(11.05-17.05)". That means that there will be a lot of waves and they will start often. If you didn't got in first way, it doesn't mean that you still don't have the key at your mail box.
===How do I know that I am invited?===
If you completed the one of the two surveys that was posted(about closed alpha), FrozenByte will have your E-mail address. That means that you should check your mail box. Don't forget to cycle between your accounts if you have multiple.

===Can I trade my key?===
Not really. Someone think that keys are bound to SteamID owner. Btw, steamID is asked in survey, so that might be close to the truth.

===Can I lose my access?===
Yes. To prevent that, don't break an embargo.
===Can I say that I have access?===
Yes, now you can. You can aalso stream

===What if I made a typo when filling in my e-mail address?===
FB will contact you through Discord direct message.

===Will my progress be saved after CA end/Will world get wiped?===
Depends on world's state.

===What will I get at EA after CA?===
Nothing(as far as we know).

It'll be as big as first one +/- 10 players.
