==English description==
Russian community in Starbase is not big at all. It is quite small, but it is very loyal and consolidated. And it also is slowly growing every day. At the moment the majority of people are concentrated in '''StarbaseRU''' and '''RF''' social network pages (960+ and 1200+ subscribers accordigly) and their related discord servers. However there are also one more smaller community that is growing and trying to catch up with the big ones.

There have been many arguments, conflicts and accusations between these tree groups as they are all literally opposing each other, fighting for every member and subscriber, but nevertheless they are all willing to grow, and do their best to attract more of the incoming russian-speaking Starbase players. There are three faces of Russian Community now, and which to choose - is up to their fellow subscribers.

==Russian desription==

Русскоязычное Сообщество в Starbase очень небольшое. Его можно даже назвать маленьким, но оно (несмотря на все трения) очень сплоченное и лояльное этой игре. Оно так же растёт с каждым днём. Медленно, но все же растёт. В настоящий момент большая часть игроков сконцентрирована в сообществах StarbaseRU и RF (963 и 1200 подписчиков соответственно), на их страничках в социальной сети и в дискорде (Discord). Однако, есть еще одно более молодое сообщество, которое с недавнего времени так же переводит новости, официальную вики и девблоги, и которое всеми силами стремится догнать и перегнать более старых конкурентов.

Стоит заметить, что между всеми участниками гонки за сердца зрителей, на всем протяжении их развития, постоянно были различные конфликты, взаимные обиды и прочие трения. Некоторые конфликты было невозможно погасить силами одних игроков, и поэтому их приходилось решать на уровне разработчиков игры (FrozenByte), которые вмешивались и "осаждали" конфликтующих администраторов. Но несмотря на все это, все три сообщества показывают устойчивый рост числа подписчиков и делают все от них зависящее, чтобы заполучить как можно больше лайков, репостов и просто сердец русскоязычных игроков в Starbase. Историю этих конфликтов вы сможете чуть позже почитать в другой статье, посвященной войнам сообществ. Эти войны могут быть такими же интенсивными, как и войны альянсов и фракций, ведь альянсы и фракции - это тоже сообщества. Только меньшие по размеру чем языковые сообщества.

Все три паблика продолжают активно соперничать и бороться за своих подписчиков. Но в то же время, все они - упрямо существуют независимо друг от друга, своими силами переводят новости разработчиков и развиваются. Поэтому, можно смело сказать, что у единого русскоязычного сообщества игры Starbase - на текущий момент три разных лица. Какое из них выбирать - решать вам.

==Origin==
The ''Great Soory'' happened on the 17th of April, 2020, within the Official Starbase Discord server. With more than 60 people in chat long overdue for sleep, chat erupted in response to a comment made by a developer, crippling the general-chat. Following this, the group reacted to scolding by a moderator by attempting to spell "sorry" using reactions, but instead misspelling it as "soory". The group then decided that this day would live on in infamy for the Starbase community as the first established Starbase holiday.

== Entire Story ==

BeansGalvin posted an image which he had made in windows paint, which depicted a headband with cat ears on the top of it. The image received such a positive response that it was pinned in the general-chat channel of the official Starbase discord. This prompted a response from the general voice chat, where one person yelled: "Everybody type Y in the chat." This act was meant to symbolise the question of "Why?" had this been pinned. Very quickly, due to the lack of slowmode in general-chat, people began to spam y, among other letters. After almost half a minute of people spamming y, the mods had no choice but to lock general chat for every player. However, there was one fatal flaw in their plan: They had forgotten to disable reactions. People began by reacting to the mods' messages with the Y emoji. The devs got increasingly annoyed, and they threatened to ban people who used the emoji to react to messages. At this point, a great shiver ran through the general voice chat. People had to come up with a way to apologise; So people began frantically trying to reply to the mods' messages with the S, O, R and Y emojis, trying to say sorry. However, due to the chaotic nature of the whole thing, people were unable to coordinate well enough and two O emojis were used in the process. Furthermore, people were struggling to find a second R emoji. In conjunction, these two circumstances led to the titular '''Soory''' being created.
