Space Apes United is a smaller-sized company originally created to play VR (virtual reality) games. Space Apes United (commonly abbreviated as APE or SAU) made it's first foray into the Starbase community a few weeks before early access launch, in late-May 2021.

Space Apes United describes the following as it's main selling points:
* A chill (but occasionally chaotic), smaller-sized group. We regularly get our hands into some shenanigans as well, if that's your thing.
* Go blind into Starbase. Nobody in the roster of Space Apes United (except Hunter, the founder of SAU) has played Starbase yet. If you want to go completely blind into Starbase, SAU may be the group for you.
* No annoying/confusing ranking structure. Space Apes United has Captain > Officer > and regular members. There is no need to remember 20+ pseudo-military ranks like many companies have.
* No mandatory C2A (call to action, a call to mobilize for all online players), or any C2A for that matter. They may have C2A much later, but it will be reward-based instead of forcing people to play when they don't want to.
* Play as your preferred role at will. Want to switch from engineering/repair to gunner mid-flight? Go ahead. SAU doesn't lock people into the role they choose at the time of joining.
* Play in your own groups. You aren't forced to play in voice with other group-mates if you don't want to.
* SAU has rules that allow a fair bit of dark/edgy humour but that bans uncreative, over the top humour like the gamer word, Floyd/shock memes, etc.

Space Apes United aims to include the following activities as the group's main focus:

* Mining and economy. SAU aims to become a major player in both mining and production, as it allows us to make money without deliberately harming others. They aim to also have major mining expeditions and events multiple times a week. Many of these will be joint operations with Concordia.
* Self-defense PvP. While SAU won't actively seek out PvP conflicts, the Space Ape army will stand their ground if struck first. As part of the Concordia charter, SAU will provide military assets to help defend their allies.
* Station building and resupply. The Space Apes will be assisting in the creation of Concordia station. They will primarily do this by supplying ore and labour towards the project. After Concordia station is finished, SAU will likely start their own station project, possibly very far out.

Space Apes United is a full member of the Concordia alliance. Any unwarranted attack towards them may result in a response from the alliance and full leverage of the Concordia defense fund.
