== Faction description ==
 
As one of the largest known factions in the universe, Empire represents itself as an Imperial Meritocracy with a subdivided military and civilian government. 
It is formally lead by Emperor Laurentius and various commanding officers. 
 
The Empire represents itself in angular, pointed iconography and architecture with a pseudo-Roman naming convention for ships, stations and prominent endoskeletons. 
Orange, white and purple are the official colors used by Imperial ships and stations. However, differences may exist as a result of rank, veterancy or both. 
 
As indicated in various trailers, the Empire is at war with the [[Kingdom|Kingdom]], the other largest known faction in the universe. 
Both Empire and Kingdom are run by players and developers. 
 

== Diplomacy ==
 
Empire has been extremely active in pre-release diplomacy, founding the Imperial Embassy and Diplomatic Corps through which they interact with outside entities. 
 
Ambassadors of the Empire are largely selected from military personnel, however may expand to include civilian personnel in the future. 
 
Contracts issued by the Embassy include construction, infrastructure and design orders for companies looking to secure funding, and utilizes a multi-phase submission system. 
These contracts are normally issued in a competitive manner, wherein competing companies put forward designs to meet specifications, and winners are selected by the relevant Imperial body.

As one of the largest known factions in the universe, Empire represents itself as an Imperial Meritocracy with a subdivided military and civilian government.

I'm a practicing musician, writer, and amateur game developer who started out on ROBLOX many years ago, originally writing and developing levels for a group based loosely around the Combine, almost always with a focus on the
Helghast from the Killzone series with flairs of Combine architecture in virtually everything. I love sharp, angular edges and bold, abstract designs that baffle the mind and look, strangely, appealing. The less sense something makes, the more I want to make it.

My personal goals with Starbase are to create a lasting line of ships, stations and designs that inspire a generation of players after myself, as well as contribute to the information base available to the wiki and all players. I have no real prior experience working on wiki projects, however I've stared at the talk pages on wikipedia, fascinated with how it works. I'm hoping to use the Starbase wiki as both a learning base and future stepping stone towards other things, while providing any expertise I learn towards the continuity of the game, development team, and community.

An interesting bit of trivia on my username "Aleuvian" is that it is a misspelling of the "Eluvians" from the Dragon Age series of games. I've always had a deep sympathy towards the ancient elves of that game, and have played every game up to Inquisition as a Dalish elf, secretly hoping at some point the glory that was lost can some day be restored. If you haven't had a chance to play a Dragon Age game, I'd highly recommend it. Probably one of the most enjoyable and persistent fictional universe I've had the pleasure of enjoying.
